DDC Kupwara chairs Public Darbar at Thayan Kalaroos

KUPWARA, FEBRUARY 20:  The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Imam Din today chaired a public darbar at Thayan, Kalaroos to listen to the public issues and grievances.

On the occasion, DDC Member Kalaroose, Mustafa Rahi and other elected members apprised the DDC about various developments and other issues faced by the public of the area.

The issues raised included contaminated water supply, unscheduled power cuts, repairing of roads, and shortage of teaching staff in schools besides a demand for a separate bank branch at Surkoli. They also put forth demand for minimizing power tariffs to the poor households of the area.

The DDC heard the issues and demands patiently and issued on spot directions to the concerned officers for resolving the genuine issues of the people in a time bound manner.

Meanwhile, the DDC distributed PMJAY Gold Health Cards among 32 beneficiaries.  Certificates of appreciation were also distributed among 6 CSC Village Level Entrepreneurs.

Later, the DDC visited the Health and Wellness Centre Kalaroose and inspected the indoor and outdoor section, labor room, and dental sections of the hospital.

The Public dardar was attended by civil officers and elected representatives besides a large number of people from the area
