Army celebrates Republic Day in Tral

Tral, 26 Jan: India is celebrating its 75th Republic Day today (26 January, Friday), marking the adoption of the constitution on this day in 1950. The theme of this year’s Republic Day is ‘Viksit Bharat’ and ‘Bharat: Loktantra ki Matruka’, which symbolise the country’s aspirations and its role as the nurturer of democracy.

Indian Army celebrated 75th Republic Day at Tral sub division. Series of events were organized by the Indian Army with the surpanches and ward members of Tral. The event started with the national anthem. Followed by the speech of Company Commander and village elders on the importance of the occasion. Locals shared their issues and aspirations with their fauji brethren.

The event culminated with interaction with the gathering over the refreshments. The strong and unique bond shared by the locals and the Army was highlighted.

A total of 56 Sarpanches and ward members from Tral attended the event.

Surpanches expressed their gratitude to the Indian Army for selflessly serving their Motherland and also coming to the aid of people in times of grave calamities. They also pledged their loyalty to the country (Army PR).
