“Lole Kain” In Narastan Tral: The Stone Of Love

Narastan village is full of scenic beauty, located in Tral area of Pulwama district in South Kashmir, and is witness of numerous places to praise of . One of the places among all is LOLE -KAIN (the Stone of Love ). There are many ways to reach to this tourist spot but one of the best and the easiest way to reach there is to pass through the Wantinor hamlet of Narastan.
First of all, the first place on the way to reach the Lole kann through Wantinor Mohalla is Puchilnadigg Khoor. After that comes the beautiful places called Hikaddalaw Khoor and Dampathri. After these comes the forest of Rayildreed, Bakerwal pather , Saki Naad and Sraibunn ( the brief description of all these places is given in my previous two articles namely “Narastan and its Famous Places”; and “Tarsar and Marsar Exploring Nature”).
After crossing the Srai Bunn meadow , one have to turn right way to reach Lole kain. From Srai Bunn meadow it almost takes one hour to reach the spot . The famous hills around this spot are Zathi Nard, Wander Dabb, Panjann ,Pandaw Watan and Kutt Kalay.
Actually the Lole Kain is a top of all hills .It is a wide and grassy place having different kind of flowers .One feels in a garden of beautiful and incomparable flowers while being here . It is a paradise for nature lovers, with its lush green hills and cascading waterfalls. From the top of Lole Kain one can witness the panoramic view of Whole Tral area , Awantipora and its adjacent areas like pulwama, Bijbihara etc .The natural beauty and tranquility of this place leaves one speechless. One of the famous tree found here is locally called Burze Kull (Paper Tree) , in ancient times people used to write on the leaves of this tree .On the bottom of Lole Kain, there is a famous mountain called PANDAW WATAN ( The way of Pandwas) . It is said by locals that the stones which were used during the building of Narastan Temple were brought from this Pandaw watan this is how it got its name.
Lole Kain is a charming and beautiful meadow . It is a verdant place and is the home of numerous nomadic people during Summers. From wantinor to Lole Kain , there is not available any road facility. It almost takes 3 hours by foot from Wantinor Mohalla to reach here. It is a breath taking place and leaves one surprised because of its scenic beauty and it’s pleasant atmosphere.
I always feel that nature is only the thing where one can find peace and can relax without any disturbance.Scenic places are a gift from nature. They provide us with beauty, peace, and a place to have fun. We should always respect and take care of these precious places.
