21st State Sqay Championship 2021 begins in Srinagar

Srinagar, 6 Feb: 21st State Sqay Championship 2021 has been started in Srinagar city on Saturday.

The championship is organised by district Srinagar Sqay Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Sqay Association at Indoor Stadium of Polo Ground Sports Complex Sringar, in collaboration with J&K Sports Council.

Dozens of players from the nook and corner of Kashmir valley participated in the championship on first day to showcase their talent.

One the players, Mohammad Amaan Bin Gowhar has said that he feels proud to play in the championship, and appealed all other aspiring children to come for the participation of such fruitful championship.

Meanwhile, Wasim Beigh, Organising Secretary, J&K SQAY association told Arising State that “large number of U-11 players from different areas of Kashmir took part in the championship, who were awarded with the medals.”

He said that the championship will continue for three days, “and the players who will perform well, will be selected for the National level Sqay championship, which will be held at Rajasthan from 25th of February.”

Grand Master, Mir Nazir was the Chief Guest who distributed awards among the meritorious players.
